Friday Night Climb

Looking for something to jazz up your Friday evenings? R.O.P.E. sponsors Friday night indoor climbing trips to Texas Rock Gym! Each member of the group will get to spend over two thrilling hours scaling walls at his/her own pace. Whether you've never climbed or climb on a daily basis, all students are invited to join us. Bouldering, top-rope, and lead climbing are available, and all skill levels are welcome (certification required for lead climbing).

Trip cost is $15.00 and includes gym entrance fee, transportation, climbing harness and shoe rental (sizes are available on a first come first serve basis). If this is your first time climbing, participants will need to pay $10.00 at the gym for a one-time belay and safety class.

Online registration for each Friday Night Climb closes at 12 PM on the day of the climb, but if there are still spots available you may register in person at the Outdoor Adventure Center (in the Recreation Center) at 6:15 PM. If registering in person, cash or check is required.

For each Friday Night Climb, participants meet at 6:15 PM to check out gear.  Arrivals after 6:30 are not guaranteed rentals. The trip leaves promptly 6:45 PM. We usually return to campus by 10:30 PM.
